Living at Mulgoa Sanctuary puts you close to the newly approved health hub in the heart of the Penrith Hospital precinct.
THE NEPEAN HEALTH HUB
Alongside the existing Nepean Public and Private Hospitals, a further $1 billion investment is going into the hospital precinct designed specifically for medical uses and to complement the existing precinct. The Nepean Health Hub is to become a one-stop health destination and is designed to deliver everything from general practice, specialists, allied health, mental health, diagnostic imaging, dental, pharmacy, research and skin clinics.
Services will be more accessible for patients by being under one roof. The health hub also encourages service providers to work collaboratively to ensure the care provided is patient-centric and holistic.
The best outcomes for patients happen when the various practitioners work in partnership to align their decisions with the needs and preferences of the patient. This state-of-the-art facility is good news for the region, bringing together those at the forefront of modern health delivery to provide the best possible health and wellbeing for the community.
Construction of the six level Nepean Health Hub is expected to commence in the next few months.
THE NEPEAN HOSPITAL REDEVELOPMENT
What’s more, the Nepean Hospital Redevelopment will deliver contemporary and expanded hospital services, and integrated community health facilities for all in the Nepean area. The redevelopment of the Nepean Hospital is being carried out in stages. The NSW Government has committed $550 million to deliver Stage 1, which is a new hospital tower. It will include an expanded emergency department, more than 200 overnight beds, at least 12 new operating theatres, 18 birthing suites, a new neonatal intensive care unit and a rooftop helipad. It also includes a new multi-storey car park to support the expansion of services.
Further, $450 million has been committed to delivering Stage 2 of the redevelopment. Planning for this next stage will commence later this year and construction will follow on from Stage 1.
What better place for health services than living at Mulgoa Sanctuary in the Nepean region.
